Baked Rutabaga Chips

Baked Rutabaga Chips (great for all phases)


1 large rutabaga

1 1/2 tablespoons olive oil

2 tsp dried onion powder

1 tsp dried garlic powder

2 teaspoons salt

1/2 teaspoon black pepper


Preheat the oven to 250 degrees.

Peel rutabaga and sliced into chips thinly using a mandoline or a french knife

In a zip lock back bag, toss the rutabaga with the olive oil, onion powder, and garlic powder, 1 tsp of salt and ground pepper.

Toss together until the chips are thoroughly coated with seasonings.

Spread the rutabaga across the a non stick baking sheet.

Bake for 1hr- 1 1/2 hour, flipping the pieces every 15 minutes. They will curl and turn crispy. If they need more time, put them in for another 5 minutes and check again until they are your desired consistency. Take them out of the oven.

Transfer the chips in a bowl and toss with the remaining salt.
